He was born Aug. 13, 1987 in Yonkers. He survived by his parents Ghassan and Rana Ishak, his brothers Naim (wife Danielle and their son Jonathan) Daniel and Christopher; fiancé Kristin (and brother Josef).
Sammy brightened up the room with his unforgettable smile and always lived life to the fullest and had no regrets, according to obituary, which added he loved making jokes and putting a smile on everyone's face.
His passion was playing poker as he had inspirations to be a professional poker player. He was a big New England Patriots fan, loved the Yankees and loved hanging out with his friends and watching wrestling.
He cherished his family and his 3-year-old nephew who he loved with all his heart, his obituary noted.
Visitation was held Thursday, May 16 at Yorktown Funeral Home, with a funeral mass on Friday, May 17 at Christ the Savior in Yonkers.
